This past weekend we held a little Super Bowl get-together with our friends. When it comes to football and food, one often thinks of dips and wings and here in Philly, cheesesteaks.
Well, we had all of those things, but it’s become somewhat of a tradition for me to make something sweet to balance the savory each year.
I’ve had this recipe on my Pinterest board for months and thought this would be the perfect time to try it out. With just a few steps you can create this campfire favorite right in your own kitchen.
Here’s what you need for these crowd-pleasing indoor s’mores:
- Graham crackers
- Hershey’s dark chocolate kisses
- Large marshmallows
- Round cookie cutter or small empty can
Use the cookie cutter to cut the graham crackers into circles. This step is optional, but I think it really adds to the presentation.
This was the most time-consuming part of the prep, so if you’re short on time, you can forgo the trimming of the crackers. It will still taste delicious!
Place the crackers on a cookie or baking sheet.
Next, cut the marshmallows in half and place sticky-side down on top of the graham crackers. Place in the oven on broil for about 2 minutes. While they’re in the oven, unwrap a Hershey’s kiss for each graham cracker.
Remove from the graham crackers from the oven when they have that perfect, golden, toasted glow.
While still hot, place a kiss on top of each marshmallow. Serve immediately.
Side effects: high fives and touchdown dances 🙂
